My new book on the artist Suzanne Lacy should be out from the University of Minnesota Press in 2010.

I previously published  a monograph on the architect Cass Gilbert (Monacelli Press, 1999).

Of course I am a member of the Cass Gilbert Society, which the good folks in Minnesota started.

I have been an Advisory Editor for the journal, Technology and Culture, for a few years. It's the journal of the Society for the History of Technology (SHOT). We also have an online publication called eTC for which I occasionally review articles.

Another important scholarly outlet for me is H-Urban, an online discussion forum of urban historians around the world, for which I serve as a reviews editor.
